About Us

Megan McDonald and John Doyle have spent their careers advising industry groups, nonprofits, and businesses on education and workforce issues, with a particular focus on how strong pathways connect young people to real opportunity.

Both come from families of teachers, which grounds their work in a deep respect for classroom educators and a firsthand understanding of how much support and recognition great teaching requires.

Growing up around teachers also shaped their conviction that high-quality career and technical education is not a “backup plan,” but a rigorous, science-rich pathway that deserves the same status and visibility as any college-prep track.

Through the CTE Science Teach-In and the broader CTE Science Alliance, Megan and John work to lift up CTE classrooms as places where applied science, problem-solving, and innovation happen every day—and to ensure that students, families, employers, and policymakers see that clearly.
